From Hospice to Palliative Care - Patty's stay at The INN Between

The INN Between is providing medical respite and end-of-life care for the unsheltered. Resident Patty tells her story - a story of hope and compassion. Patty went from hospice, with less than six months to live, to a year and a half paired with surgeries and cancer treatment to almost two years later and thriving on palliative care. At our facility, as a part of our Quality Assurance Program we have a Resident Council, run by our residents. Patti is the council President.

Officer Murphy with HSPPR's Animal Law Enforcement got a request to pick up a stray dog, and when she arrived, she met the wiggly but very matted Apollo. Apollo's beautiful coat wasn't groomed properly, which caused painful mats on his paws and tail end.

Before bringing him to the shelter, Officer Murphy scanned sweet Apollo for a microchip, and voila! The little cotton ball was chipped, and our admissions team found contact information for a possible owner.
