Living our Best Life
Mental Health America of Fredericksburg has been serving our community for 65 years with a mission to improve the mental health and well-being of our community. We do this through support, advocacy, and education. Our core programs are HelpLine, which assist individuals in navigating the mental healthcare system and supports them throughout the process until they'are safely connected to a mental health provider. Our Senior Visitors Program matches lonely, isolated seniors with a trained volunteer for companionship to help them to live safely in our community. It also decreases the risk for depression in our seniors. We have support groups for adults and teens and we also have our Suicide Prevention Education program, which is offered to youth in the schools, in our community and also to adults to learn the warning signs for suicide and depression and especially how to get help.
