Our mission is a very big mission here in California. We're here to serve youth experiencing homelessness between the ages of 18-24 and I think the thing that I always talk about is that we provide unconditional love and how we do that is through shelter, housing and providing a place where they can be themselves. The youth that we serve are between the ages of 18 and 24. A lot of our youth are so courageous, just because of their situation. About 50 percent of our young people age out of foster care. So imagine not having that support system. So as soon as you walk in the Covenant House you feel the spirit of love and acceptance you feel there's sanctuary here. It's a home. What drives me is the resilience and a lot of our colleagues love that and they just pursue and they have the stories and the lived experience that we all can learn from. It's something that really motivates me.
