Working to End Homelessness in Vermont

Back to School Bonanza

COTS is the largest service provider in Vermont for those at risk of becoming homeless and those experiencing homelessness. For 40 years, we have strived to ensure the safety and dignity of hundreds of individuals and families with children. We support our neighbors by providing emergency shelter, affordable housing – both transitional and permanent – and through our homelessness prevention program.

This past year, the COTS Housing Resource Center provided prevention support to 79 households, including 67 children. We provided re-housing support to 35 households, including 21 children, and housing navigation services to 130 households, including 95 children. Through our community based Motel Outreach Team we provided support, case-management, and rehousing services to 1.369 adults and 110 children who were staying in state funded emergency shelter in motels.
